Goddess Lakshmi is where truth is. She always dances in the home where the vow of truth is observed. Goddess Lakshmi does not signify just money, but all goodness. Therefore, the home that has truth, has prosperity and happiness. There will be no health problems in that house. King Harishchandra of Ikshvaaku lineage observed the vow of truth. Even though he suffered initially, he later experienced all happiness in the world. Curse is not just inflicted with sprinkling of water by sages. When a sage wedded to truth is hurt and utters words in anger, those words come true. That is called a curse. Their words gain that power due to their vow of truth. If the sage said, “What are these dog-like acts?”, or “You are acting like a cat”, the person will become like a dog and a cat respectively. Therefore, always be truthful.

Even though sacrifice and charity seem to be used interchangeably, they are different. Giving a portion of what we have is charity, while offering everything we have is sacrifice. Charity may be done with some desire for relief from problems. But sacrifice expects nothing and therefore bestows eternal fame on the doer. The sacrificer will be bestowed with all good results everything even though he wishes for nothing.

Constant practice enhances intellect. Intelligence brings fame, prestige, honor and respect. This is not an outcome of reading a lot of books. Always reading books gives knowledge, but the intellect does not change. Chanting mantras is essential to improving intelligence. Therefore, this statement is related to the chanting of mantras. One who worships fire will strengthen his intellect. Fire god bestows intelligence.

Whatever we do is a result of our karma. It is the actions we undertake that shape our intellect. One who does good deeds will have a pure intellect and will be inclined to undertake more noble deeds. The sinner has a perverted intellect and will want to do even more wicked deeds.

Dharmaraja led Dharma on all its four legs. He was born an aspect of Dharma and was brother of the valiant Pandavas and was dear to Lord Sri Krishna. He was wise enough to reveal supreme truths to the likes of Bhishma. Even though he fully believed and knew that gambling was one of the seven forbidden vices, and that the Kauravas were trapping him in their deceitful game of dice, he even gambled Draupadi and lost her. What can this be if not the fruit of his karma? That is why, it is said, buddhi/intellect follows karma. Therefore, as God ordains, so will the intellect function.

This is a good sookti. You must always remember and follow.

There will be Koti Datta Yajna in Ganagapur Dec 2-9. Many asked where Datta Jayanti would be. Ask Lord Datta. Ask on that day. I do not know where I will be that day. Everyone be peaceful. Do not display your ego. Do not try to dominate over others. Everything is God. You have come to Sadguru. Listen to Him, it will do you good. Understand the principle of Datta. It is not easy. It is in fact easier to misunderstand the principle of Lord Datta, but I bless you to understand.
