As part of former President Sri. R. Venkataraman's year-long birth centenary celebrations, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan & Sri. Venkataraman's family had arranged Pujya Sri Swamiji's Music for Meditation and Healing concert at Sri Sathya Sai International Centre on Lodhi Road, New Delhi on 7th September 2011.

Indian Council for Cultural Relations president Karan Singh was the chief guest at the concert. Several other dignitaries graced the occasion.
According to the organisers, President Venkataraman had always held that the answer to the chaotic conditions in the world should be found in moral and spiritual reformation and not through violence.

"A great patron of the arts, he also believed that music with its powerful appeal to all humankind can play an integral part in this reformation and unite humanity the world over. In a world full of conflicts and tensions, music can bring harmony through its message of peace and brotherhood."
Speaking about Pujya Sri Swamiji, whose self-composed Bhajans in Kannada, Telugu, Sanskrit, Hindi and English are famous across the country, the late President, an ardent devotee, had said: "Swamiji is a versatile genius. He has attracted attention the world over for his knowledge of herbs and medicinal plants and his expertise in music to cure many ailments. Hundreds of thousands of devotees have been benefited by Swamiji's knowledge".
