Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji conducted Hanuman Chalisa Parayana Maha Yajna in Visakhapatnam on 3 February 2018. In the morning, Sri Swamiji conducted Sankashta Chaturthi Ganapathy Puja in Chintamani Ganapathy Kshetram, an Ashrama founded & established by Sri Swamiji in Sisirpalli superb of Visakhapatnam. The sprawling Rama Krishna beach or popularly known as RK beach saw over 60,000 people congregate for two hours to chant Hanuman Chalisa Parayana with Sri Swamiji.
At 5 PM, Pujya Sri Swamiji arrived on stage and was received by Hanuman Chalisa Parayana organizing committee members.
Sri Swamiji stood on the stage and gazed at the devout crowd that was seemingly unending. The crowds loudly chanted “Jai” kara to Sri Swamiji.After receiving welcome garland, flower frown & a flower mace, Sri Swamiji went to Yaga Shala and offered Purnahuti of Hanuman Homa.
Returning to stage, Sri Swamiji performed Ashtottara Puja with betel leaves and Hanuman Thora threads to a large Hanuman Murti decorated on stage. After offering Arati to Rama Parivar Murtis, Sri Swamiji ascended the Vyasa Peetham. Sri Swamiji expressed his happiness in the huge gathering chanting Hanuman Chalisa Mantras together as it community prayer had it’s own benefits.
Sri Swamiji then briefly spoke about Hanuman Chalisa and with prayers to Sri Ramachandra, Hanuman Ji , Sri Swamiji led the tens of thousands of people chant Hanuman Chalisa nine times. Sri Swamiji interspersed each Chalisa chant with a brief discourse on interesting Sundara Kanda story snippets. The venue was a sea of waving Hanuman flags. The mass chant of thousands of loud voices devoutly chanting Hanuman Chalisa was etheral experience. The setting could not have been more beautiful. The sea on one side and a sea of devotees on the other side.The brief silence between the Chalisa chant was the sea waves as if Samudra Raja was applauding Sri Swamiji’s and devotees’ chanting. In the end, Sri Swamiji called on people to carry home a sapling of Badam tree that the organizers were giving to all devotees. Sri Swamiji urged people to care for ecology, environment and said - Hanuman and trees are inseparable as all Vanaras lived in trees. Sri Swamiji called people not to shy to be religious and to call oneself a proud Hindu. Sri Swamiji also urged public to learn Kriya Yoga. Sri Swamiji stressed the benefits of daily practice of Pranayama.
After the chanting, Sri Swamiji was offered prayerful respects by Shri.Avanti Srinivas - Member of Parliament of Anakapalli, Sri Ganta Srinivasa Rao - Minister of higher education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Sri.Yoganand, IPS - Commissioner of Police, Vizag, - Sri.Rajendra Prasad And well known comedian cinema actor Rajendra Prasad.
Sri Swamiji then went to a mantapam specially erected on the beach side to perform Sagara Arati. While Mantras of ocean were chanted, Sri Swamiji performed Sagara Arati. While returning, Sri Swamiji spoke to the audience again and called on the public to be devout, to be helpful to others and to share food with needy once a week.
While going to the car, Sri Swamiji appreciated and blessed the efforts of the Hanuman Chalisa Yajna team and Mysore Ashrama Ramesh in the organization of the program.
