Pujya Sri Swamiji in Berlin, Germany - 2018
Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji visited Berlin, capital of Germany from the 28 June to 2nd July 2018.
Pujya Sri Swamiji was there on the invitation of Datta Yoga Centre, Germany who had organized “Nada Dhyana Raga Sagara” - music for meditation by Pujya Sri Swamiji.
On 29 June 2018, Pujya Sri Swamiji visited “Music Instrument Museum” in Berlin at 10 AM. Pujya Sri Swamiji and devotees were taken around a guided tour explaining the various rare instruments that were developed in Germany from 13th century onwards. Of particular interest was the Worlitzer Orchestra instrument that spanned three floors and was used in accomplished drama theaters and in silent movies. The basement had the air blowers, the ground floor the player’s controls and first floor the pipes that produced astonishingly high volume sounds that needed to be heard throughout the theatre.
On 30th June 2018 evening, Pujya Sri Swamiji conducted “Nada Dhyana Raga Sagara” - music for meditation in the auditorium at Berlin Culture University. Pujya Sri Swamiji played
Pranava Svarupam in Rushyaketupriya Raga
Mahishapurashraya in Malayamarutham Raga
Dattatreya Maam Paahi in Brindavani Raga
Bhaja Bhaja Dattam in Shubhapantuvarali Raga
Dancing tune in Shankarabharana Raga
And
Raga Ragini Mangalam in Sama Raga.
The elegant rectangular auditorium was full and over 1000 in the audience were swept by the healing tunes played by Pujya Sri Swamiji.
Smt.Maya Rao, Indian cultural artiste from Mysore who resides in Berlin inaugurated the concert by lighting the lamp. Smt. Kamala Brattig, organizing member offered the garland to Pujya Sri Swamiji.
Sri Agastya welcomed the audience and explained Pujya Swamiji’s music. Smt.Madana Petra Kühne translated to German.
After the concert, Sri.Brahma offered thanks garland to Pujya Swamiji. Smt.Antje Trilokavati offered a special momento to Pujya Swamiji.Smt.Dana Gita offered Vastramn to Pujya Swamiji. Sri.Dasharatha & Smt. Rajeshi honored the accompanying artists - Sri.Jaitra Varanasi on violin, Sri.Mani on support keyboard, Sri.Shankar Ramesh on Mridangam and Sri.Mahesh on Tabala.
On 1st July morning, Programs were held in Logenhaus, Berlin.
Pujya Sri Swamiji arrived at 10 AM and was received with garland and Purnakumbha. Pujya Swamiji offered Purnahuti of Ganapathy Homa and later performed Sri Chakra Puja. Members of Satsang group from Holland and Germany sang Bhajans fduring Sri Chakra Puja.
Sri.Dasharatha, president of Datta Yoga Centre, Germany welcomed Pujya Sri Swamiji and immensely thanked for visit and the assembled devotees from Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, France, US, Trinidad, England and Russia.
Sri Swamiji then released audio CD “Words of Wisdom” - a collection of English discourses of Pujya Sri Swamiji from the 80s. This was selected from the archives of Datta Peetham audio & video studio.
Sri Swamiji was offered a raw vegan cake baked by Sri.Mitradeva Michael Hoffstiepel.
The audience were shown a video of Pujya Swamiji’s 76th Birthday celebrations and a short video of Pujya Sri Swamiji’s Shukavana. Smt.Kamala Brattig offered to Pujya Swamiji a large Hanuman cuddle toy modeled after the 85 feet tall Hanuman in Trinidad. Devotees thunderously applauded as Sri Swamiji played with the Hanuman cuddle toy.
Sri.Dasharatha thanked Datta Yoga Centres of Switzerland and Benelux for supporting Datta Yoga Centre, Germany in helping organize the Berlin visit of Pujya Sri Swamiji.
Devotees chanted enmass Hanuman Chalisa.
Devotees of Germany, Holland and Switzerland chanted the shlokas from Bhakti Yoga - 12th chapter of Bhagavadgita.
Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji in His discourse expressed His happiness in the programs organized and called on the people to learn Bhagavad Gita to answer their life’s questions and challenges.
Members of Datta Yoga Centres of Germany, Switzerland and Benelux invited Pujya Swamiji to Switzerland in 2019 and requested for a Mauna program and a healing music concert.
Devotees came in a queue and took Blessings from Pujya Swamiji.
Annadanam was performed to all.
With this the Berlin visit of Pujya Sri Swamiji concluded.
